Ecomoksha is a PNG (Piped Natural Gas) - based eco friendly Hindu Crematorium located inside the MCGM Crematorium at 99, Linking Road, Santacruz West, Mumbai, India.

It is a unique and selfless project by the “SENIOR CITIZENS SANTACRUZ (PASHCHIM) SANSTHA” - registered with the Society and Charities Commissioner, Mumbai with 80G Exemption.

It is no longer enough to live a greener life. People are being encouraged to be environmentally friendly when they leave earth too.

Our traditional method of cremation by wood pyre is not eco friendly at the same time costly. Newer systems like cremation through gas based furnaces are not only eco friendly but also cheaper, quicker and easily available through out the year.

For wood pyre cremation one would need about 400 Kg of wood which equals to one fully grown tree over a period of 10 to 15 years !! Imagine multiplying that by 1 Crore-the approximate number of people, most hindus, who pass away every year in India !

The Senior Citizens Group of Santacruz has constructed this wonderful, eco sensitive crematorium that every Mumbaikar would be proud of.
